ISSUE I: Queering the "Natural"

December 2019

After we selected these outstanding pieces for our first issue, we realized that a common attention to nature was present in all of them. What is it about nature that helps us to express ourselves? How do queer folk react to and queer the natural to more clearly represent our experiences to ourselves and others? These poems, art, and fiction wrestle with and arrive at a myriad of answers and new inquiries, which we think perfectly upholds our mission to explore and document the nuanced experience of queerness.
